A Peachtree City company Synergy Professionals is among the five Georgia firms which are bidding to build the Mexico border wall, as proposed by the President Donald Trump. Synergy Professionals, that specializes in recruiting for the construction industry, declined to comment about the project. The ACC Construction Co. and C4 Planning Solutions in Augusta, Thompson Co. in Norcross, and Osprey Management in Sandy Springs are also the Georgia bidders.
Federal government has extended its deadline for the companies to bid on the first contracts for the proposed wall on the Mexico border to Tuesday, according to the Associated Press. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection said that the six-day extension would allow the companies time to consider answers for dozens of questions which potential bidders submitted ahead on the last Wednesday, March 29th – the initial deadline for the companies.
Earlier in this month, the agency published requests for proposals for the wall that would be 30 feet high and also easy for those looking at it from the north, according to the Associated Press.
The bidders are also asked to submit the security plans and also demonstrate the experience "executing high-profile, high-visibility and politically contentious" projects.

Prototypes are the preliminary steps for a project that will face deep resistance in the Congress and beyond.
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection will ask several of the bidders to build the prototypes in San Diego, California.
The government would not identify companies until contracts are awarded around 1st June. In the last year’s presidential campaign, President Trump repeatedly said that Mexico would pay for the construction of the wall, but he has since requested that, the Congress approve billions of dollars in taxpayer money. The democrats vow to oppose any wall funding, and also many Republicans are also wary of his plans for a massive brick-and-mortar barrier.
Meanwhile, the head of Homeland Security said that arrests of the people entering illegally across the border plummeted in the last month, and that is a signal that only fewer people are trying to sneak into United States from the Mexico.
