The Federal Reserve Bank in Atlanta was reopened after a suspicious package was discovered earlier on Tuesday afternoon, the local media reported.
According to the Atlanta fire officials, the building is located at Peachtree and 10th streets. The area had been evacuated and traffic was shut down.
The police investigated the contents of the package. No other details were released.
The officials said that, “Security discovered package. All employees evacuated, will be allowed back. Pkg. being evaluated.”
“10th and Peachtree closed due to reports of a suspicious package found. Working to get more details,” they added.
