Two Atlanta Restaurateurs Ricky Walia and Sunny Minhas are all set to open another Indian restaurant in the metro area. Indian eatery Bombay Brasserie will start service from Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 900 Mansell Road, Suite 1 in Roswell.
Ricky Walia is the owner of Cafe Bombay in North Druid Hills and Masti Fun Indian Street Eats in Toco Hills."My idea is to bring a more upscale boutique Indian restaurant to Atlanta," Walia said. "I've been having so much fun experimenting with many different foods and flavors. The menu features beloved Indian dishes like chicken tikka masala, vegetable pakoras and meat samosas, but we're also adding many innovative dishes."
Innovative dishes includes lamb chops, marinated for 48 hours and spiced with coriander, cumin, ginger, garlic and chiles. Tandoori salmon, marinated in "special tandoori spices and yogurt, then grilled, and mustard greens with Indian butter, spinach and cornbread, offering a bit of Southern fusion.”
The bar section will offer craft beer and wine, adding Walia's own take on cocktails. "We are infusing traditional liquors with exotic spices such as cumin, coriander, turmeric, and beetle leaves," he said.
While describing the restaurant's design, he said that, it "combines the best of rustic and contemporary decor, melding natural materials and traditional art pieces with India's bright color palette." There's a 40-seat covered patio outside, that allows for al fresco dining and access to Bombay's hookah selection.
The restaurant will serve lunch and dinner during all days of the week. The services will start Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from noon to 11 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m.
