Excitingly New and Renewable Energy Minister Farooq Abdullah during Sunday expressed that  "True religion always unites and never divides humankind," at a function organised by the Brahma Kumaris institution in Delhi. Abdullah said that unfortunately religions are being used today to divide people and to create collision in the society especially to acquire excessive  votes. He added that they should mount above vote-bank politics and undergo hard work intending towards promoting peace, harmony, love and cooperation in society.

Abdullah also launched "Ahimsa Paramo Dharma Awareness" campaign on the occasion and praised Brahma Kumaris and other inter-faith leaders' initiatives of awareness campaign as an appropriate advancement for uniting and uplifting people.

He also added that due to the fact that nobody can live in isolation, they have to come together, join hands to live and let live accompanied by mutual understanding, trust, tolerance and cooperation to present and contain common problems like poverty, pollution and energy decline seriously in a successful manner.
