Hindu Nationalist Narendra Modi who was recently named to be BJP's Prime Ministerial nominee expressed his desire. The wish was to built the world's tallest statue in Gujarat in memory of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. While dealing with a rally at Rewari in Haryana, Modi expressed an earnest request to the people of the country to help build the 'Statue of Unity', in memory of the 'Iron Man of India'. Modi added that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was a farmer and he was born in Gujarat. He played a vital role in uniting the country. Yet in the preceding few years Patel who's known as the 'Iron Man of India' has been disregarded.
Remembering the 'Iron Man of India'
The Gujarat Chief Minister said that he wish the 'Statue of Unity' should be two-time taller than the Statue of Liberty in the US. He furthered with his expression that he want willingness to assist from countrymen in its making. He emphasized his disinterest in cannon otherwise sword, rather he want pieces of iron used in the fields while farming. Modi also mentioned that the project would take four to five years for it's completion.
That's certainly a commendable thought to remember such Iron Man of India.
