The Andhra Pradesh chief minister, Kiran Kumar Reddy has congratulated the scientists of DRDO for successfully test firing Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Agni V. Kiran Kumar Reddy is currently in Delhi and extended his warm regards to scientists from there.
Further, the chief minister has also said that successful test firing of Agni V remains as a milestone in the history of India. He wished that scientists from DRDO should come out with more such projects in near future.
It has to be mentioned her that India became fifth country in the world that has the capability to launch Inter-Continental Ballitic Missile( ICBM) after it launched Agni V. The DRDO officials have said that it would take around a year to further develop Agni 5.
So far only US, Russia, China and France were capable of test firing ICBMs. The best part of Agni 5 is that it has the capability of hitting multiple targets and can be launched from land-based mobile platforms.
The chief minister of AP was expressed his happiness for test firing this missile successfully.
It may be noted that chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy left for Delhi to take part in the chief ministers’ meet convened by the Centre on internal security. Although the first phase meet was over, Kiran stayed back to meet several minister. (Phani)
