APSRTC MD Mr Prasada Rao said today the total losses of the Government-owned transport organization have reached the figure of Rs.2400 Cr. till date.
Disclosing this to media persons in Hyderabad, he said the RTC suffered a loss of Rs.400 Cr during the last financial year. “Despite the losses, we have introduced 4000 new buses in 2011-12,” he said, adding, 50 new Indra services would be introduced in the financial year 2012-13.
Prasada Rao said the organization has been trying to introduce more RTC services in rural areas with the cooperation of the self help groups. (J)
