Owing to growing sacrifices to pressurize the urge for a separate Telangana state carved out of the erstwhile unified Andhra Pradesh, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, spear heading the revolution, has called for a bandh in these regions. The twin cities shall observe bandh on Tuesday.
This week opened with a suicide by a student and on Monday an auto driver committed suicide. The TRS Assembly Leader Etela Rajender announced on Monday at Hyderabad, that as the tenth class exams are going on in the state, APSRTC buses carrying these students shall be exempted from the bandh. He also appealed to the shops and establishments in these areas to extend cooperation and make the bandh successful.
Most parties in the region have extended the support to the TRS called bandh on Tuesday. On account of honoring the Telangana martyrs, the Telanagana Joint Action Committee proposes to hold a candle light ceremony at all prominent places in the region. The bandh call is supported by Bharatiya Janata Party, Telangana Nagara Samithi, political T-JAC, Telugu Desam Telangana Forum, Communist Party of India and New Democracy.
