The left parties in the state today expressed that the government will not expose the 26 Government Orders which are in controversy. Adding that, those GOs will expose the lapses of the government hence the reluctance. The Left also was frustrated over the stalling of the houses and said valuable people’s money was misused. The house is not discussing any of the people’s growing issues but is just whiling away the time. They also felt that the expenses incurred must be reimbursed by the concerned parties.

Another interesting allegation made by the Left is that parties like AIM and Lok Satta try to divert the attention by bringing unwanted topics in the house. In a way these parties also support the government and through indirect methods save the ruling party, from embarrassment.

It may be noted last week a Supreme Court Bench issued the notices to six Ministers and 8 IAS officers.  The notices sought their stands on the petition filed by an advocate hailing from Nellore district, P. Sudhakar Reddy, who alleged that 26 Government Orders were issued by them in violation of the law. The Ministers are P. Sabitha Indra Reddy, J. Geetha Reddy, Dharmana Prasada Rao, Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Kanna Lakshminarayana and Mopidevi Venkataramana, all of whom held important portfolios even in the erstwhile Cabinet of Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy when the controversial orders were issued. The eight IAS officers in the dock are: S.V. Prasad (now retired), C.V.S.K. Sarma, M. Samuel, Y. Srilakshmi, Adityanath Das, K. Ratna Prabha, B. Sam Bob and Manmohan Singh, who headed the Revenue, Municipal Administration, Infrastructure & Investments, Industries & Commerce and Irrigation Departments.  (With inputs from internet- AarKay)
