As the country gears up to the latest technology in improvising its future dynamics in Nano segment, Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad not to be left behind plans to launch `Nano Ex Centre.’ The Hyderabad institution started in 2008, celebrates its fourth year of commencement. On this august occasion the institution which pioneers in quality professional education, is all set to launch its `Nano’ initiative as `Nano Ex Centre.’ The centre is scheduled to be inaugurated on March 10, by renowned scientist C N R Rao.
IT Hyderabad started in 2008 from a temporary campus at Ordinance Factory (ODF), Yeddumailaram village. Later shifted to its permanent campus at Kandi near Sangareddy and is close to the Outer Ring Road (Hyderabad). The admission of the First batch of students of IIT Hyderabad took place in August 2008 through IIT-JEE and their classes were conducted in its temporary campus with help of mentor IIT Madras. IIT Hyderabad's permanent campus occupies a 2.3 km² (580 acres) area, that is part of the Kandhi village, Medak district. Presently the institute has nearly 95 faculty, 480 B.Tech students, 180 M.Tech students, 120 research scholars and 50 administrative and supporting staff.
