The ACB court at Nampally in Hyderabad today dismissed the bail petition of liquor syndicate leader Nunna Venkataramana. It was second time his bail petition was dismissed by the ACB Court.

The court also dismissed the bail petitions of liquor syndicate leaders from Yemmiganur in Kurnool district without assigning any reason.

Further, the court has deferred till March 13 hearing on the bail petitions of Khammam district deputy excise commissioner Mr Narsimha Rao and excise officials Madhusudhan Rao, Sankaraiah and Sarweswara Nath who have allegedly joined hands with the liquor syndicate leaders.

The officials were arrested and jailed for having contacts with Nunna Venkataramana and allowing him to run liquor syndicate in the district. (J)
