The makers of Salaar are super confident on the product and they quoted huge prices for the theatrical and the non-theatrical rights. Most of the deals are yet to be closed even after the release date was announced. This was due to the exorbitant quotes from the makers. Hombale Films expected Rs 300 crores from the digital rights alone. With the rights unsold, they had to step down and sell off for a lesser price. Netflix bagged the digital rights (all languages) for a price of Rs 162 crores.

The theatrical deals are currently closed and the release date of Salaar will be announced very soon. Salaar is a high-voltage action thriller directed by Prashanth Neel. Prabhas and Shruti Haasan are the lead actors in this actioner and Hombale Films are the producers. A song has to be shot on Prabhas which is pending for now. Prabhas is holidaying abroad and there are reports that the song would be shot after his return.
