Ravi Teja's Dhamaka and Nikhil's 18 Pages released over the Christmas weekend on Friday. 18 Pages lost trace and struggled hard to report minimum footfalls over the weekend. Ravi Teja's Dhamaka received a mixed response from the audience but the box-office numbers are quite decent. The film had a sensational Sunday and it witnessed packed houses taking the advantage of Christmas holiday. Dhamaka will have to maintain the same over the weekdays to achieve breakeven status. Trinadha Rao Nakkina directed this mass entertainer and Sree Leela played the heroine's role.

Avatar 2 had a sensational second weekend all over and the film too witnessed packed houses across the Telugu states. After a sensational start on December 16th, Avatar 2 saw a huge drop over the weekdays because of the huge release. The film picked up again and reported huge numbers in the second weekend. All the past films ended up their theatrical run. With no releases next Friday, the audience will have to wait for the Sankranthi releases Waltair Veerayya, Veera Simha Reddy, Varisu and Thunivu.
