King Nagarjuna dared to release his film Bangarraju during the Sankranthi season when films like RRR and Radhe Shyam got postponed. Bangarraju was the first consideration for the audience and the film opened with a bang. Directed by Kalyan Krishna Kurasala, Bangarraju featured Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, Ramya Krishna and Krithi Shetty in the lead roles. Bangarraju released in record number of screens and the theatrical rights of the film are sold for Rs 35 crores. Bangarraju collected a theatrical share of Rs 28.70 crores in its first week which is good enough.
Bangarraju has to perform well in the second week to recover the investments. With no notable releases, Bangarraju is expected to do decent. Anup Rubens composed the music and background score for this hilarious entertainer. Annapurna Studios and Zee Studios are the producers.
