Tollywood is the only film industry that is completely reopened. There are a bunch of films that released during the season soon after the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic calmed down. Victory Venkatesh completed the shoots of Naarappa and Drishyam 2. With the situations not favorable for release, Naarappa headed for a direct digital release through Amazon Prime. The makers of Drishyam 2 too are holding talks for a direct digital release through Disney Plus Hostar and the streaming date is yet to be locked.

With the situations favorable for a theatrical release, the makers of Drishyam 2 are now rethinking about the digital release plan. The movie is gearing up for release on October 13th during the Dasara weekend. Nandamuri Balakrishna's film Akhanda is aimed for release on the same day and it is now postponed. Drishyam 2 will release on the same day and the makers will make an official announcement very soon, Jeethu Joseph who directed the original directed Drishyam 2 and Venkatesh, Meena played the lead roles. Aashirvaad Cinemas and Suresh Productions produced Drishyam 2. Venkatesh will resume the shoot of F3 from October and the film will release for Sankranthi 2022.
