Megastar Chiranjeevi has been dreaming of his magnum opus Syeraa from a decade. The film is based on the life story of freedom fighter Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy who happened to be the first rebellion revolted against the Britishers. The film is directed by Surendar Reddy and is made on a budget of Rs 200 crores. Syeraa released across the globe on October 2nd in a record number of screens in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam languages. The film received a positive response from the audience.

Chiranjeevi, Nayanthara, Amitabh Bachchan, Anushka, Jagapathi Babu, Tamannaah, Vijay Sethupathi and Kicha Sudeep played the lead roles in this periodic action drama. Syeraa collected a theatrical share of Rs 123.91 crores in its final run. While the Telugu version is a decent hit, all others lost money across all the territories.
