Ram Gopal Varma stepped out with the biopic of NTR and titled it Lakshmi's NTR as he wished to narrate the film from the view of Lakshmi Parvathi. Lakshmi's NTR trailer was a smashing hit and created enough sensation, clocked record number of views. RGV and his team announced that Lakshmi's NTR will release across the globe on March 22nd all over and it is during this time Election Commission of India announced the dates for elections across Telugu states and the election code came into immediate effect.

TDP leaders approached the Election Commission of Indian producing the trailer saying that AP Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu is presented in bad light in the film. They asked the Election Commission to stall the film's release till April 11th as the film's release will have an impact on the polls. The Election Commission will discuss about this and will take a final call on the release of Lakshmi's NTR. There are talks that Lakshmi's NTR may not release as per the plan of the makers as the film deals about the sensitive issues from the life story of NTR. We have to wait to see what happens next. On the otherside, Ram Gopal Varma is in plans to release Lakshmi's NTR at any cost on March 22nd.
