Nandamuri Balakrishna inched the magical mark of his 100th film with Gautamiputra Satakarni which released during Sankranthi. Krish directed the movie which is said to be a periodic drama. Shriya Saran played the female lead and Hemamalini essayed a crucial role in the film. Gautamiputra Satakarni released during Sankranthi and the movie has been declared as a blockbuster. The movie minted Rs 42.59 crores which is highest among Balayya’s movies.
