Young Tiger NTR impressed the audience with Temper and Nannaku Prematho however the films could not mint huge commercial figures in their final run. Tarak pinned huge hopes on Janatha Garage and the film released on September 1st all over. Koratala Siva directed the movie and Samantha, Nithya Menen played the female leads. Janatha Garage released in around 2400 screens across the globe and the movie received decent response all over. Despite of negative word of mouth, Janatha Garage stood strong and it holded well all over. The movie emerged as the second fastest Rs 50 crore grosser in the history of Telugu cinema after Baahubali: The Beginning.

Janatha Garage has been running strong taking the advantage of Vinayaka Chavithi and the film minted huge money in its first weekend. Trade analysts revealed that Janatha Garage is the biggest hit of NTR and the movie is racing towards the second highest Tollywood grosser. Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal will be seen in a crucial role in the film and Devi Sri Prasad composed the music. Mythri Movie Makers produced Janatha Garage and the movie has been made on a budget of Rs 60 crores.
