Jr NTR's Ramayya Vasthavayya is planned for release on 10th October, with the censor formalities scheduled for tomorrow. Though the overall mood for the film is upbeat, storm clouds are threatening to dampen filmmakers' spirits. The approval of the cabinet note on Telangana led to fresh eruptions of protests in Seemandhra.
In this scenario, all Telugu film releases are at risk of being stopped. But, Jr NTR's film is particularly vulnerable due to the Nandamuri family's deep involvement in politics. The film has trouble from both the Seemandhra and Telangana quarters. Many are fearing another postponement, wondering if the bad period for TFI has started once again.
As of now, RV makers and Jr NTR are not willing to postpone the film, according to reports. Manchu Vishnu's Doosukeltha is the other contender next Friday, but the film is already mired in quicksand. Many are admiring Vishnu for pitting himself against the mighty NTR. If his film clicks, he will run away with many laurels. If it doesn't, he will teach one more lesson to his peers on what not to do.
As both films have troubles plaguing them, the verdict can go either way. Still, Ramayya Vasthavayya is said to have the spunk to take on Powerstar Pawan Kalyan's Attarinitiki Daredi. The same political turmoil threatened AD too and the movie came out of it a winner. Similarly, if all that we are imagining about RV or Doosukeltha content is true, they could win too. The film makers are equally confident about their film and expectations are riding high. Next Thursday can't come sooner for all the wait.
