Story
After Naandhi, Allari Naresh and Vijay Kanakamedala are back with an action thriller, Ugram. Let us take a look at how far Ugram impressed.
Story :
Shiva Kumar (Allari Naresh) is a passionate police officer and gets married to his love interest Aparna (Mirnaa Menon). Both were blessed with a baby girl. on work front, he arrests a gang who are involved in the drug smuggling business. The gang of three warns Shiva Kumar's wife Aparna in a sexual manner, where 2 get killed by Shiva Kumar and one ran off. With Shiva Kumar’s sincerity, his family dips into trouble. Aparna decides to leave him and go to her mother's place. With no option left, Shiva Kumar agrees to drop Aparna at her mother's place. On the way, their vehicle met with an accident from where his wife and daughter goes missing. The film is about how Shiva Kumar finds his missing wife and daughter. Here we get a similarity to English film Fractured (2019).
Analysis
Ugram is an intense crime thriller. Allari Naresh proves himself again with his exceptional performances. He has given an amazing performance. Naresh brings the seriousness of the film and he leads the story on his shoulder. The first half is slow and boring because of the love track. The second half got key action sequences. The climax fight was taken well but have handled sensibly. Mirnaa Menon gets a meaty good role and she has done the job pretty well. Other characters in the film are okay. Ugram came out as a mass potboiler rather than a crime thriller. The production values are good. The background score by Sricharan is okay.
