Story

777 Charlie is the story of Dharma (Rakshit Shetty), a youngster who is an orphan and works in a local factory. The whole society hates him for his careless behaviour. He loses his parents during his childhood days and he is addicted to stay alone. It is then, Charlie, a dog comes into his life. He tries hard to get rid of the dog and it turns out to be a slow addiction for Dharma. He plans to give off the dog for adoption and when the day arrives, he changes his mind. When things are extremely good, Dharma gets heartbroken after he comes to know that Charlie suffers with cancer. Analysis

777 Charlie Movie Review, Rating, Story, Cast and Crew

The entire first half of 777 Charlie is focused on establishing the characters and their bonding. The first half is entertaining and engaging throughout. The songs are a fresh breath and so is the cinematography work. Most of the film happens in a colony and the director keeps the show engaging. Charlie creates a spark and the last half an hour of the first half is racy and interesting. The first half of 777 Charlie sets a good premises for the second half of the film.

The second half of 777 Charlie is slow paced but it has enough depth. The film has enough flaws but the emotional content is hard hitting and it elevates the film. Rakshit Shetty and the dog Charlie compete and they excelled on screen. The travel story is thoroughly engaging and is shot across several beautiful locations. The songs in the second half are good and the cinematography work is good. The climax portions are emotional and the audience would be left in tears. The entire second half lives up to the expectations and makes a decent watch.

Performance

Rakshit Shetty is brilliant on screen and he delivers his best performance in the film. The actor performed with ease and his screen presence is good. The actor exhibits various shades in the film. The dog Charlie is quite expressive and the audience would be left in shock with the expressions. The dog nails it throughout the second half of the film. Bobby Simha shines in a cameo and he is good. Sangeetha Srigeri will be seen in an important role who has a journey with the duo in the second half. All the other actors did their parts well.

777 Charlie is a film that has an interesting plot that was never discussed on the Indian screen. The screenplay and dialogues are completely impressive. The music is good and the background score is the major highlight of 777 Charlie. The cinematography work is the other asset and the production values are grand. The director Kiranraj sounds experienced and he is a master in handling the emotions. The narration is pretty good and he handled the film with ease.

Final Word

Top class performances and technical aspects along with a strong writing and presentation make 777 Charlie worth watching. A good attempt.
