The rest of Venky Mama is all about what happens next. Watch Venky Mama to know about the complete story and their love stories with Vennela (Payal Rajput) and Haarika (Rashi Khanna).
Analysis
Venky Mama has a decent first half with fun-filled episodes. The songs are passable and well shot. Venky carries the film on his shoulders and the rural episodes came out well. His bonding with Chaitu is well presented. The interval episodes elevate the film well. Though the narration is completely predictable, Venky Mama has its moments and the love stories have been narrated in an engaging manner. On the whole, the first half of Venky Mama looks decent.
The second half of the film takes an unexpected turn. The crucial Kashmir episodes make no impact on screen and they look lengthy. The entertainment will not appeal to the audience and sounds forceful. The songs are ok on screen. Once again, it is Venky who carries the film on his shoulders. Chaitanya has nothing much to emote and he does well in Kashmir episodes. Payal Rajput and Rashi Khanna look glamorous on screen. Venky Mama ends up on an average note. The second half of the film is a disappointment.
Performance
Victory Venkatesh who impressed the audience bigtime with his comic timing in F2 does a decent job. He carried the entire film on his shoulders and dominated the show. His bonding with Naga Chaitanya was well presented on screen. Chaitu too does a decent job in the role of Karthik. He excelled in the comic episodes with Venky during the first half. Payal Rajput shines well as a teacher and did a decent job. Rashi Khanna too did her part well. All the other actors have been decent in their assignments.
Venky Mama has an interesting plot but the narration was not up to the mark. The screenplay looks outdated and the dialogues too make no impact. Thaman's music was ok and the background score sounded decent. The cinematography work looks good and the film is shot across some beautiful locales. The editing should have been better. The production values are grand. Bobby fails this time in making Venky Mama an impressive flick.
Final Word
Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya did their parts well in this emotional family entertainer. The second half turns a dent for the film.
