Analysis
Shailaja Reddy Alludu starts on a predictable note and there's nothing much to excite the audience during the first half. With some pale entertainment and outdated narration, poorly placed and picturized songs, the first half of Shailaja Reddy Alludu offers nothing new. The interval episodes and the performances by the lead actors make the first half of Shailaja Reddy Alludu look decent.
The second half of the film even dips further and makes no impact. The major plot gets deviated because of the unwanted entertainment bunch. Vennela Kishore and Prudhvi struggles hard to impress the audience with the stale comedy and poorly penned episodes. Though Ramya Krisha shines with her performance, her role has been poorly written and executed. The climax looks quite simple and the second half of Shailaja Reddy Alludu ends on a disappointing note.
Performance
Naga Chaitanya excels as Chaitu and he is a treat to watch on screen. He has been outstanding with his looks and has been spotted matured. Anu Emmanuel is a huge disappointment and the actress fails to create the magic. Though she has been assigned a crucial role, Anu fails to impress the audience. Ramya Krishna dominates the second half with her presence and packed performance. Vennela Kishore and Prudhvi make the audience laugh at times. All the other actors have been decent in their roles.
Shailaja Reddy Alludu lacks an interesting plot and the makers depended on entertainment. The screenplay and dialogues are a huge let down. The music has been decent but the songs have not been shot well. The cinematography work by Nizar Shafi is the major highlight of Shailaja Reddy Alludu. The production values have been grand enough and Maruthi fails to mould Shailaja Reddy Alludu into an out and out commercial entertainer.
Final Word
Shailaja Reddy Alludu is the poorest work of Maruthi till date. Irritating entertainment and outdated narration makes the film fall flat.
