Analysis
The plot of Hello looks outdated and it has nothing exciting. The background score, cinematography and the grand technical values make the film look rich. Akhil and Kalyani are outstanding on screen and they performed well. The film opens on an interesting note but it soon dips down badly. The childhood episodes have been dragged too much and misses the real feel. The songs have been shot well and they have been placed well. The first half of Hello has been passable with interesting emotional drama and action episodes.
The second half of Hello is a huge misfire as it offers nothing much. The major plot has been sidelined and the unwanted episodes take the major lead. Though Akhil and Kalyani top the show with their performances, the film dips down gradually. The climax which is to be the heart of the film has been badly presented. The songs have been decent and the background score has been convincing. On the whole, the second half of Hello is a huge disaster.
Performance
Akhil Akkineni contributed his best for the film. He has a decent screen presence and he performed the role with utmost ease. Akhil was exceptional in the emotional episodes. Kalyani Priyadarshan impressed the audience with her expressions and she has a stunning screen presence. She looked extremely fresh and decent. Jagapathi Babu and Ramya Krishna have been extremely supportive in their assignments. All the other actors delivered out their best in the film.
Hello has an outdated plot and the narration has been completely predictable. The screenplay looks decent in the first half but it fails badly during the second half. The dialogues make no impact. The music and the background score are Hello’s biggest highlights. The cinematography makes the film look grand and the production values look lavish. The editing has been decent but Vikram K Kumar fails in all the available ways with Hello despite of his impressive track record.
Final Word
Akhil’s second film Hello too fails to impress the audience big time. Though the first half sounds decent, the second half falls flat and will end up as a disappointment.
