The Redmi Book 16 2025 was announced in China on Friday. The laptop will be released in 2024 with the Redmi Turbo 4, after the Redmi Book 16 was released in the company's home country in November 2023. Although Xiaomi did not reveal the specifications of the proposed device, it hinted at some of its capabilities. . The laptop has been confirmed to be powered by an Intel Core processor and pre-orders have already started ahead of its release. Xiaomi talked in detail about the Redmi Book 16 2025 in a post on the Chinese social network Weibo. According to the teaser, it will run on Xiaomi HyperOS 2 and integrate better with the Xiaomi Pengpai Zhilian ecosystem, allowing it to interact with other devices in the Xiaomi ecosystem. The laptop is also confirmed to feature artificial intelligence (AI) powered battery enhancements such as AI-assisted task scheduling. The company claims that with this upgrade, the laptop can last more than 19 hours on a single charge.
The Redmi Book 16 is powered by an Intel Core 2025 processor with a thermal design power (TDP) of 47W, but the exact chipset has not yet been revealed. It aims to improve the features of its predecessor, the Redmi Book 16 2024. The Redmi Book 16 2024 has a 16-inch 2.5K (2560 x 1600 pixels) display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 400 peak brightness, 16:10 aspect ratio and Dolby Vision support. The laptop is equipped with a 13th generation Intel Core i5-13500H chipset, Intel Iris Xe graphics, 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. It runs Windows 11 operating system. Other features include a backlit keyboard with a power button that doubles as a fingerprint reader, a 1080p webcam, four microphones, and two 2W speakers. The Redmi Book 16 2024 is equipped with a 72Wh battery that supports 100W GaN fast charging.
