iPhone 14 Plus Service Program for Rear Camera Issue

Apple has announced a service program for rear camera issues affecting some iPhone 14 Plus devices manufactured for 12 months. The Cupertino-based company says affected devices can be serviced by Apple-authorized service providers at no additional cost, and customers can find out if their phone is affected by providing the company with their serial number. Meanwhile, users who have already paid for iPhone 14 Plus rear camera repair can contact Apple for a refund. A support page set up by the company says that a "small number" of iPhone 14 Plus devices have experienced an issue where the preview on the rear camera is not displayed. According to Apple, iPhone 14 Plus manufactured between April 10, 2023 and April 28, 2024 may be affected.

iPhone 14 Plus owners can enter their serial number on the company's support page to find out if their smartphone is affected by the issue and is eligible for a free repair. Apple says the service plan covers affected devices for three years from the original purchase date. To find your iPhone 14 Plus' serial number, open the Settings app and tap General > About. Long-pressing the serial number on this page displays a copy shortcut that allows users to paste the text into a field on Apple's iPhone 14 Plus service program support page.

Apple's support document states that some customers have iPhone 14 Plus devices that have damage that prevents rear camera service, such as: B. a broken back glass, these problems must be addressed first. Unlike the free service program, Apple says it will charge customers for these additional repairs. According to the company's website, customers who have already paid for repairs to the rear camera on their iPhone 14 Plus can also contact Apple for a refund.
