Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan, an Indian tennis star won his third challenger-level doubles title of the season with American partner Austin Krajicek, as they triumphed in an edgy final of the Winnetka event in the United States of America.
An Indo-American pair lived up to its peak billing by eking out a 6-7 (4) 6-4 10-5 win over second-seeded Roberto Maytin and Christopher Rungkatto triumph the trophy at the USD 75,000 hardcourt tournament.
Jeevan, an Indian tennis star who knew his game well had well-qualified for the Wimbledon but fell in the initial round with Krajicek in a close finish, had partnered Indonesia's Rungkat.
They made 80 ranking points, respectively splitting the prize money of USD 4650.
The left-handed Chennai player has arisen as a force to reckon with on the Challenger Tour and has made seven finals this season.
Jeevan and Austin beforehand qualifying for the Wimbledon had won the Ilkley Challenger and ended runners-up at Nottingham.
