The top seeded Serena Williams has managed to overcome Swiss 23rd seed Timea Bacsinszky for entering the French Open final. This is going to be a third time finals in the French Open and if she clinches the final match against Czech 13th seed Lucie Safarova, it will be her 20th Grand Slam title.
The clear illness and hot temperature troubled the tennis ace player in the first set with 4-6, but in next two she got the upper hand with 6-3 and 6-0. Serena is just three short of the record of Steffi Graf (22 grand slams).
Lucie Safarova won over Ana Ivanovic with 7-5, 7-5 and became the first Czech woman player to reach the finals of the French Open since Hana Mandlikova had won the title in 1981.
Both the players having good chances of claiming the titles as the illness of Serena is an advantage of Lucie and the experience of playing finals and having records will keep the US player on top.
