Australia is touring in India ahead of the ICC World Cup 2023. After defeating Australia in the first ODI, the second one took place in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Australia won the toss and elected to bowl first. Team India scored a record total of 399 for the loss of five wickets in 50 overs. Shreyas Iyer (105) and Shubman Gill (104) are the top scorers for the side and Suryakumar Yadav (72 not out) added more runs in the last overs. Australian bowlers were completely expensive and they could not control the Indian batsmen. Cameron Green (2/103), Josh Hazlewood (1/62) and Adam Zampa (1/67) took the wickets among the Australian bowlers.
Chasing a total of 400, Australia lost two quick wickets. The rain played a spoilsport but the match resumed soon. Australia had to score 317 in 33 overs but the team went all out for 217 in 28.2 overs. Sean Abbott (54), David Warner (53) and Marnus Labusschagne (27) are the top scorers for the Australian side. Ravichandran Ashwin (3/41), Ravindra Jadeja (3/42) and Prasidh Krishna (2/56) took the wickets among the Indian bowlers. India seals the ODI series by 2-0 and the third, final ODI will take place on September 27th.
