Team India received back-to-back shocks from Bangladesh. India is touring in Bangladesh for three ODIs and two test matches. After getting defeated in the first ODI, the second ODI took place yesterday in Sher-e-Bangla stadium. Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first. The team got a responsible total of 271 for the loss of seven wickets in their 50 overs. Mehidy Hasan (100 not out), Mahmudullah (77) and Najmul Hossain Shanto (21) are the top scorers for the side. Washington Sundar (3/37), Umran Malik (2/58) and Mohammed Siraj (2/73) bagged the wickets among the Indian bowlers. Team India has to win the match to keep their hopes live to bag the ODI series.
But Team India failed to chase the total and they scored 266 for the loss of nine wickets in their 50 overs. Shreyas Iyer (82), Axar Patel (56) and Rohit Sharma (51 not out) are the top scorers for the side. Rohit Sharma was so good in the last overs but he could not complete the winning streak for the team. Ebadot Hossain (3/45), Shakib Al Hasan (2/39) and Mehidy Hasan (2/46) bagged the wickets among the Bangladesh bowlers. Bangladesh won the ODI series and the final ODI will take place on Saturday. Team India will play two test matches with Bangladesh and the first one starts on December 14th.
