BCCI Announces Annual Player Contract: Virat, Rohit, Bumrah In A+ Category

Committee of Administrators (CoA) for Board of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI) appointed by Supreme Court on Thursday announced the Annual Player Contracts for the period from October 2018 to September 2019.
Major part of the contracts is BCCI retained just three players in the A+ category i.e Captain Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah with Rs 7 crore each per annum. These three are arguably top players in Indian Cricket team at present.

Shikar Dhawan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were part of A+ category last season but now were relegated to A category, which is Rs 5 crore each annually.
Shikar Dhawan was dropped from the Test team after the England series, while Kumar too doesn’t feature regularly in Tests anymore off late.
Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul, who were suspended by the CoA for controversial comments on a TV talk show, will remain in B category which is Rs 3cr annually
A total of 25 players featured in the central contracts.
