The Vin Diesel starrer franchise, that hit China's theaters on Friday raked in 144.5 million yuan up till Sunday, beating Justin Lin's White House Down, revealed Chinese entertainment business analysts Entgroup. Fin's film made a collection of 114.1 million yuan up till Monday.
Thanks to the heavy hype build around the movie prior to its release, the film opened to packed theaters on Friday.
Mr Go, the China-South Korean film on the antics of a computer-generated baseball-playing gorilla ranked third in the list. The film made a collection of100 million yuan since it opened July 17.
