'Lunchbox' succeeded its first award at Cannes 2013

The debut film Dabba (Lunchbox) which has been directed by Ritesh Batra's has won the critics week viewers choice award at the 66th Cannes International Film Festival.

Furthering with the achievement, the film was produced by Anurag Kashyap, known to be featuring Irrfan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui along with Nimrat Kaur, also received appreciation during the screening at the festival.

Even Anurag Kashyap, who was awarded with the French honour Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters, posted on Twitter that it's begun and that Lunchbox wins critics week viewers choice award. It’s called the Golden Rail or something. Yay. Moreover, Irrfan had earlier posted on Twitter that the Lunchbox has started spreading its wings, outstanding response.

Subsequent to the movie winning the critics award, the 46-year-old posted his reaction saying that he just got the news the 'Lunchbox' won its first award at Cannes!

A big congratulations to filmmaker Ritesh Batra and his team.

That's a moment of pride for Indian Cinema!
