Legendary Bollywood actor Pran was not present in  60th National Film Awards ceremony on Friday to receive Dadasaheb Phalke honour due to  ailing health. But the more surprising thing is even nobody from his family was present either to receive the most prestigious of the country in terms of the contribution towards Indian Cinema.

Pran, who acted in over 400 movies in a career spanning over six decades and played a vast range of roles – from a hero to a villain to a character artist, was named for the highest and most prestigious  award in the field of cinema for the year 2012.
