Adele's newly found motherhood got a little stained as the singer is facing a fine for not registering her baby with the proper authorities.

The singer and her fiancé, Simon Konecki, allegedly failed to register, or make an appointment to register, their new arrival within the 42-day limit, The Sun reported.

It's been 51 days since Adele gave birth, and she faces a fine of 1,000 British pounds. Adele announced her pregnancy in June before giving birth sometime this fall, but few other details are known about her newborn son, including his name.

We do wish that our favorite singer comes out of this mess soon.
