Indian cinema has been in limelight ever since it's versatile director Satyajit Ray's Pather Panchali was selected to be screened at various international film festivals. Not to forget AR Rahman, who won Oscar recently, for his splendid music in Slum Dog Millionaire. Although it was Hollywood flick, the emphasis here in on Indian talent.
With Indian cinema completing its centenary, it is time for every cinema lover across the globe to look at the glory of this country when it comes to producing films. And yes, in terms of making films, no country is as prolific as India. In fact, one of the legendary actors of Indian cinema, Amitabh Bachchan said that Indian film industry is exposed to new talent who were making cutting edge flicks.
Noted film maker, Steven Spielberg himself visited India and met some of the film personalities. He even hailed some of the actors over their meticulous performances. So, there wouldn't be any exaggeration to state India has got special place in the world cinema. If you are yet to watch any Indian movie, do that right away.
