There is an announcement from the Archie comic series publisher that the famous comic book teenagers Archie, Veronica, Betty along with Jughead are approaching to the big screen for the first time in a new live-action feature film. Archie Comics mentioned in a statement on its website that the comedy feature film will be produced by Warner Bros Pictures at the same time will feature the leading Archie characters in a high school based in present-day Riverdale which happens to be the fictional backdrop of the series.

Archie commenced in 1941 subsequently grown to be a comic book supremacy for Archie Comics, which has been comprising a great number of comic series showcasing the archie main characters. 

Initially the comics have been adapted for television in animated and live-action series  as well as a television movie featuring an adult Archie, yet this live-action feature film is the first time in the comic book’s 72-year history.

The publisher expressed about Red-haired Archie Andrews to be well-known in American pop culture, along with his proceedingly high act of love triangle with the brunette Veronica Lodge at the same time blonde-haired Betty Cooper as well a playful trick with best friend Jughead Jones. Jon Goldwater, publisher and co-CEO of Archie Comics expressed their thrill to be working with Warner Bros on this project at the same time have utmost faith in their ability to justify Archie to the big screen as the fans would love to watch them.

The publisher mentioned that the new live-action feature film is going to be directed by Jason Moore, while Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa will be writing the screenplay. No additional information were made available.
