After Sunny Leone and Poonam Pandey who can take the extra effort to show off their skins, Bengali actress Paoli Dam hits the headlines for all the same and wrong reasons.
The actress, who plays lead role, in the upcoming erotic flick of Bollywood, Hate Story, appeared in some compromising positions besides exposing her back. The moment the posters went before the West Bengal Board of Censorship, they were objected by the board that resulted in film unit approach the Calcutta High Court for a stay order.
It may be recalled that the film board has described the postures as obscene and provocative. It banned the two postures out of eight postures printed while six of them got clearance.
The High Court has turned down the request and ordered the film distributors-Kushagra Arts and also film theatre owners (where Hate Story will hit on Friday) to hide her back in the posture. The court also ordered another posture-where Paoli appears in a compromising position-not to be displayed.
Following the court orders, the distributors and cinema theatre owners were found painting the bare back posture with blue ink.
The posture created sensation in the country as it contained bareback of Paoli Dam with a strategically placed gun and a tattoo. The film projects the life of a middle class journalist who turns into a flesh trade worker. (Phani)
