Who dominates more? Men or women?

Domination as a rule is not practiced, but in reality it crops up quite often. In most relationships, one partner is more dominant over the other. It is rare to find a couple in a truly equal relationship, whatever anyone may say in their defense.

Many surveys across the world have inferred on thing. It is still traditional for a man to initiate a relationship. Conservative or liberal, most couples still expect a man to initiate the courtship and subsequent physical intimacy. With changing times and more women finding themselves financially secure, the traditional views are gradually shifting towards larger numbers of women taking the initiatives.

Still, men came out as the primary partners that women tend to look up to. Males remain the aggressors and females remain the damsels in distress. If we observe common surveys, it comes as no surprise that both men and women feel that the male partners are more dominant. However, for initiating conversations or fights, women took the dominant spot.

In another scenario, what may seem like a male dominated relationship may actually be under the control of the woman behind doors. At the cost of being called 'hen-pecked' many men out there are happy to give the reins of the relationship to the woman. Still, there is always one partner having the upper-hand, trying to change their other half to suit their tastes.

What does one do in situations where one partner is dominated? The solution is age-old and its called 'communication'. Sharing and communicating without indulging in blame games is a sure shot way to get your partner to understand your point of view. So, without any delay, communicate away!
