The Telugu Fine Arts Society (TFAS) is busy planning a grand celebration of the Sri Nandana Nama Sumvastra Ugadi utsavalu.
Plans are being finalized to hold the event at the East Brunswick Middle School on 200 Rues Lane, a venue where TFAS has held many events in the recent past.
Speaking regarding the event, Anand Paluri, president of the organization said that 'We are extremely proud and anxious to host a grand program with renowned Telugu poet, writer, producer, director and actor Tanikella Bharani at our event.
In a true TFAS tradition, we are planning to have a literary Istaghosti as well as a natakum with Bharani. In addition, we will be hosting popular Tollywood singers like Parthasarathi and Mani Sastry for musical entertainment.
Several local artists and kids will be given an opportunity to perform during the program. We are also expecting some special guests to attend this event and details on that would be coming out soon'. It is expected that over 1,200 people would attend this event that will include dinner.
In addition, TFAS conducted its bi-annual elections and a new committee has been formed to serve as trustees of the organization from 2012 to 2014.
The new committee will be led by the well-experienced and longtime member of the organization Smt. Manju Bhargava as the President. The new committee includes the following:

Mr. Paluri also mentioned, 'As many of you are aware, Tanikella Bharani is directing a movie written by Late Mullapudi Ramana called Midhunam. The audio release of this movie is being planned tentatively at the TFAS Ugadi function and I request all the Telugu loving people to grace this function.'
