The former Rajya Sabha Member and veteran Director Dasari Narayana Rao vented his ire on a specific group who were running after Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhusion titles. He said that it was a futile run of some people after awards, while the Films produced in the state were going down on values. The veteran Director who claims repute from the tinsel world had specific issues with a particular high profile hero. It is yet unsure whether he meant this person directly or someone else. The Director said these issues at the felicitations function held at Chennai. The function was to honor the Sarathy Studios Manager KBR Prasad, who won the national award for the Best Editor, for his Tamil film `Aranya Kandam’. The function was held on Monday at the Film Chambers and many stalwarts of the Telugu Cinema were honored on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion the veteran said that the tinsel world is running after dances and making films without much innovation. He also specified that at the moment there is a dearth of freshness in the present films. He also said those technicians hailing from the Tollywood are finding honors elsewhere and they need to be commended, by all means. He also assaulted the elite who were craving for the awards. He said it was not very correct of the gullible public to give much importance to such stars.
