Indian American Community Welcomes New Community Affairs Minister Of Embassy

The relations between the United States and India, are likely to take new heights, in coming years ahead, and the role of Indian communities in the united states is going to be very crucial, in the years ahead, said Anurag Kumar, the new minister who got appointed as new minister for community affairs at the Indian Embassy in Washington DC.
In a media statement, Kumar said that he is committed to make all the possible efforts of his potential for the future, in his new post.
Kumar, made his statements on April 29, addressing over 200 community members, who ecided to welcome his arrival as replacement of N.K Mishra, who vacated the office six months ago. The meeting was followed by a dinner reception, which was organized under the banner of National Council of Asian Indian Associations(NCAIA), and also the co-sponsors included several other regional communities, which contribute in the sectors of social and cultural programs, Association of Indian Muslims, Hyderabad and Hindi Associations of DC, Indian Cultural Co-ordination Committee, Tamil Sangam, Telugu Association of North America , which have overflow of crowding guests , and but not the least many Sikh communities also participate in the event, under leadership of Sukhpal Singh Dhanoa of Sikh Sewa.
Kumar added saying that he is looking forward for more co-operation and collaborations
All the communities of United states wished him all the best for his successful tenure here in Washington , with a hope that he will play a signifiuciant role in connecting all the communities together with the embassy, carrying the roots of our motherland said NCAIA president Gopinath Durgaiyanaidum.
Mr.Kumar also said that he is eagerly waiting for the upcoming events, involving all the communities, including the annual International Yoga Day on June 16 in the West Lawn of the Capitol.
