Marietta man was carjacked and shot to death in Atlanta

A Marietta man was carjacked and shot to death in southwest Atlanta, police said.

Martin Hvizda, 31, was found dead in the 500 block of Joseph E Lowery Boulevard. Police found the body of Martin Hvizda at an Exxon Mobile gas station after responding to a call on Saturday.

“The shooting appears to have been a result of a motor vehicle hijacking,” Atlanta police Officer Stephanie Brown said. “And the unknown suspects fled the area in the victim’s vehicle.”

The car is described as silver Infiniti FX with tinted windows and black rims. This Incident took place when suspect was trying to steal silver Infiniti FX of the victim says detectives.

Authorities say no clear motive for the crime, but say, the killer shot the victim before jumping into the SUV and then took-off to westbound on Lucille avenue.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Atlanta police.
