Atlanta astronaut eats his traditional meal on the occasion of Thanksgiving along with five other crew members in space. Astronaut Shane Kimbrough and his other space crew members are aboard the International Space Station (ISS)
The space-friendly version of a quintessential, American Thanksgiving meal consists packets of turkey, candied yams, green beans, and mashed potatoes. In order to eat dinner, the orbiting men and women just add water.
Atlanta astronaut Kimbrough said in a video, that, “We're obviously going to be talking about what Thanksgiving means to us, what we're thankful for, and sharing the tradition with our French and Russian colleagues."
"We're going to work all day, and then we're going to have an evening big dinner full of most of the things you're going to have at your table," Kimbrough said.
"I'm from Atlanta, so I can't have Thanksgiving dinner without having some sweet tea," he added.
