Dogs are best friends! Yes, they can do anything for their loving owners, which we can again understand from an incident in the US, where a visually impaired woman was saved by a dog.
The brave guide dog, named Figo, has jumped in front of a fast moving school bus to save the life of its owner, who is visually impaired. The heroic Figo, got cut to the bone and its owner, Audrey Stone, was hospitalized with a broken elbow, ankle and three cracked ribs.
The incident, which took place in Putnam County in New York, has once again proved the honesty and love of pet dogs. After the incident, passersby admitted the Figo in a veterinary hospital and the doctors have performed a surgery and it is recovering well now.
According to the police officer’s statement, the driver of school minibus had not observed the woman and her guard dog crossing the road. But, the Figo jumped itself on the closest part of the bus.
The eyewitnesses informed the media that the dog was trying to pull its owner to save her, when the accident took place. The firefighters have shifted the Figo to a vet and later the media persons surrounded it for photographs.
The intelligent pets are worthy enough to guide visually challenged persons to carry out their minimum works. Kudo to Figo and congratulations to Audrey Stone for having such helping pet.
