How we can expect the marriage celebrations of the US President Barack Obama’s daughter Malia? Without any doubt, we can say that the celebrations would touch the sky. Malia has received a marriage proposal from Obama’s father nation Kenya.
The young lawyer Felix Kiprono, has offered 50 cows and 70 sheep to marry the Obama’s older daughter Malia. He told a newspaper that he got interest on her in 2008, when Obama was running for the presidential elections for the first time.
“As a matter of fact, I haven’t dated anyone since and promise to be faithful to her. I have shared this with my family and they are willing to help me raise the bride price,” he said.
Kiprono is planning to meet and express his offer of wedding to Obama when he makes his first presidential visit to Kenya. The US President is scheduled to visit Kenya in the month of July.
Obam’s grand mother (90) and some of his relatives lives in Kogelo, in western Kenya.
The young lawyer said, “I am currently drafting a letter to Obama asking him to please have Malia accompany him for this trip. I hope the embassy will pass the letter to him,” for successful outcome.
The man, who claims his love as true, said, “I will teach Malia how to milk a cow, cook ugali (maize porridge) and prepare mursik like any other Kalenjin woman.”
We have to wait and see, whether Obama couple accept his true love proposal and give their daughter to him after attaining a certain age. But, we must admire his dareness in expressing love.
