In First ever of Indian history, an Indian lesbian ties knot with an American partner in a Hindu tradition style.

Shannon saw Seema at fitness class where she teaches. Shannon joined there as fellow instructor and proposed her. After six years of strong relationship, they got married to each other.

Seema’s family carried her to the wedding venue on a traditional ‘Doli’, while Shannon who wanted a bit of the classical American experience, walked down the path assisted by her mother.

The candid moments of wedding were photographed by Steph Grant, photographer specialized in LGBT wedding.

Their beautiful wedding photos hinted no fear or shame at the occasion.

While India is still conservative about the LGBT issue, that can create confusion on sexual orientation and is yet to pass pro-LGBT bill, it will be interesting to see what turn does this beautiful love story makes.
