Miss America Nina Davuluri had to face a lot of hate after her grand and well-deserved crowning. She may have won fair and square, but the comments of many ignorant Americans brought to light how backward they just might be.
Nina may have roots that trace back to Andhra Pradesh, India. But she was born in Syracuse and raised in America like any other American. Some Americans, however, seem to think only white skinned people deserve to be Americans. Social Networking site Twitter had one of it's most embarrassing days on 16th September after Nina won the pageant.

FYI, Nina is neither Muslim nor a Terrorist. Get your facts right.
Many of these venomous people seem to forget that America was and is a free country and is a mix of varied cultures, standing primarily for diversity. The racial outburst on Miss Davuluri once again brings to focus the widespread discrimination against actual Muslims who are having to face this everyday.
