Scottish golfer Carly Booth has been at the helm of controversies for quite some time now.

Just a couple of days back, the young golfer created a furore after she posed stark naked for a “dare-bare” photo shoot for the ESPN magazine.

The 21-year-old golf diva stirred the pot of controversy and offended the “more genteel members of the golf community” by stripping for a sports magazine photoshoot, before heading for the Ricoh Women’s British Open in St Andrews, Scotland.

The professional golfer, who wishes to make golf more appealing for young girls said she took some persuading to do the shoot, for ESPN Magazine’s ‘The Body Issue’. ‘It took me a while to decide that it was something I wanted to do,’ she said.

“The more I looked into it and saw the type of athletes that had done it before, then I realized it was a great honor to be asked,” she added.

 

‘I think it’s only going to be a positive outcome if we all try to make ladies’ golf a bit more glamorous.
Male golf has been more dominant. We want young girls to see us and think, “Oh, I love her – I love what she’s wearing”. We want them to pick up the sport and we want to be good role models,’ she further said.

The 21-year-old freshly drew a buzz after she was caught flashing her knickers at the St Andrews on Thursday afternoon.

With so much of skin show and faux passes, we wonder what the young golfer is out to prove!
